For the past few months I've been working with a watch company, modify watches. I've been helping them print different packaging, such as tags and bags, utilizing silkscreening.

Also, I had the opportunity to do a few illustrations for them. It's 6 panel 'how to' illustration demonstrating how to customize your watch. With this watch you can change the bands and faces to share with your friends or match your wardrobe.

Anyway, below is the initial sketches I gave them... too much detail, not enough direction and pizzazz!

I spent this past weekend in (as my Grandpa would put it) God's Country. It was a great trip, surprised my grandma, it was her 80th birthday, and spent time with family over Thanksgiving. I got to see my aunt and cousin who I haven't seen in over 10 years. I have two cousins who are young and at the age where they want to fight all the time, so it was fun throwing little people around.

I was able to spend some time with my brother, mom, and step dad which was great! It was a busy weekend and busy/fun Thanksgiving to which I haven't experienced in Canada since I was 11, and in the US for a couple years... and I got to breathe fresh air.

I took this picture on my flight back to Atlanta. I haven't taken many night flights, maybe three. With the sun dying in the westward sky and the deep rich blues of the encompassing night the halo reflection of my camera and white moon, it's a nicely balanced 1/3's image.

So I’ve been going through my personal belongings… pretty much I’m reducing. I’ve been making trips, with a full car, to the recycling center and Salvation Army donation center. I have… well had boxes that were sealed since when I left university and stored them at a friend’s house. I’ve been going through sketch books and drawing pads, rummaging through ages of antiquated art. It’s nostalgic, as everyone is aware, to peruse through old things. Art and drawings of humble beginnings, sitting in my mom’s big blue chair drawing on a handmade cabinet liner covered slab of wood… drawing mostly super heroes and trees. I think I drew trees because they had an instantaneously satisfactory element. In “those days” I was obsessed with perfection, trees being natural and organic enabled me to draw them to my own pleasing while still perfectly proportional…when it came to drawing Spider-Man that was a different story.

I recently set up an Etsy store which I plan in inaugurate with stuff in a week or two. It will have stuff that I no longer really want, but I can’t just donate, recycle, or throw away.

However, amongst the ad hoc amuck of clutter I found something I thought I lost. I hadn’t seen it since 2005/2006 (it was in a box that’s been stored and packed since). It is my first book. It’s a story about our physical environment and shared space.
